    Colour: Yerupaya (603).

    Per 50g ball.

    Judging colours from a screen can be difficult. When in doubt, please do order a shade card first. It is a cheap and easy opportunity to see the colours in real life. Contact me about shipping costs, when you want to order just the shade card.

    Specs:

    • 80% baby Alpaca, 20% wool (GOTS);
    • Recommended needles 3,25 mm (US 3; UK 10);
    • Per 50g ball, length approx. 175 m (190 yds);

    • Womens jumper size 36/38: 8 balls.

    About the colours

    Balayage is developed by Pascuali and Melanie Berg. Thanks to the different composition in the fibre quality and colour, they achieved a natural mottled effect, which creates a soft and varied colour effect.

    Colour groups of four colours are designed to work together and can be combined with colours from the other groups to achieve a contrast. The colours are inspired by the variety of colours in Peru and are named after places in Peru.

    The unique nature of the yarn, i.e. the mixture of white organic merino wool fibres with white and grey baby alpaca wool, creates a mottled grey tone (colour 617 Ishinca). The colour gradient effect is supported within the individual threads and very natural colour accents along the lines of hand dyeing techniques.
