Opulence knitting kit
The kit contains:
A contemporary, comfortable silhouette inspired by old motifs from different sources. Elements from the traditional Romanian blouse, Guernsey knit and purls and fisherman sweater cables honor together a high quality yarn and a pair of skillful hands.
Opulence is designed by Alina Popovici from La Maille Aux Tableaux.

The pattern contains directions for two variants of the sleeves (more or less dramatic in the lace part), as well as for adjusting the body and the sleeves lengths.
It's charm is intact if worked plain, in one color, or two, respectively three different colors. To highlight the textures, we recommend to avoid very dark shades as the main color.
The sweater starts with two saddles for the shoulders in cable pattern and is worked top down. First, the right and left halves are worked separately to the back join, then the garment is worked back and forth in one piece to the front join. Next, the body is worked seamlessly in the round to the waist band. After the body is done, the stitches for the sleeves are transferred from the waiting yarn to the needles and the sleeves are worked top-down in the round. The neckband is slightly asymmetric and is worked in four steps, finished with 3 needle BO at the shoulders.
The textured patterns are identical on the left front and back and right front and back respectively.
