    We expect to be able to ship your yarn after December 15. (It might be sooner, it could also be later.) Whether or not you will have it in your hands before Christmas, depends on your destination country and in any case will require a fair dose of luck in the busy season... But if not, what a way to start the new year, right?! ;)

    Naturally we'll keep you informed if there is news, or in case of advancement or delays in the production and delivery of the yarn.

    Non-Superwash, mulesing-free merino wool from South Africa.

    South African merino wool is known worldwide for its high quality. The animal welfare is enforced by the South African Wool Board. 

    KOKON Merino is guaranteed non-mulesed. The merino sheep graze free in the vast semi desert central Karoo region of South Africa.

    • 100 % mulesing-free merino;
    • Recommended needles 7,0 mm (US 10,5-11);
    • 100 g skein, length approx. 70 m (approx 76 yards);

    How many skeins do I need?

    Please note that Kokon is hand dyed on a small scale of 5 skeins per dyelot. Always make sure that you have enough yarn for your project. Even within the same dyelot, colours may vary.

    Indicated yarn quantities for a sweater:

    • Size XS/S: 6 skeins;
    • Size M/L: 8 skeins;
    • Size XL: 9 skeins.

    Please note that some patterns, like cables, require more yarn than a standard stockinette or garter stitch. Also, crochet usually requires approx. 30% more yarn than knitting.
